The South Loop Strings & The Polish-American Conservatory of Music and Arts offers a wide variety of lessons, classes, and activities for children, teenagers, and adults in downtown Chicago and on the North Side of the city. We strive to provide every student with the best education possible.
We specialize in teaching music and arts with a fun and positive approach. By providing our students with an emotionally comfortable environment we allow them the freedom to love and appreciate music. These skills will last a lifetime.
It is our fundamental belief that the arts enrich peoples' lives, strengthen the community and most importantly play a tremendous role in the development of a child. Learning the skill and discipline of various arts develops inner creativity through outward expression.
Student progress is regularly showcased with 2-4 performances per year including: Halloween Recital, Christmas Recital, Solo Instrumental Recital and Graduation Recital. Students have the opportunity to take participation in various violin and piano competitions.
All students enrolled in the PACOMA MEMBERSHIP can complete an end of the school year examination, receiving the jury's written feedback, and certificate of completion, for the year of study.
Parental Committee
President and 2 general Members are encouraged to attend their 2 meetings per school year. The role of Parental Committee is to represent the school's parents in general and to improve the school's work activities.
MPM ( Music Parent Meetings)
Twice a year, parents are welcome to meet with their private music teacher, or another parent, over coffee, or tea, to discuss various topics about the musical education of their child. MPM is great to look for some solutions to problems related to practicing at home, or about motivating a student, by exchanging ideas. Times and places to be decided.
