♫ South Loop Strings is the name of one of Emilia's violin and piano studios in downtown Chicago, at the corner of Polk and Clark Streets (South Loop). We offer private individual violin and piano lessons for all ages and levels, group classes and chamber music. Student progress is regularly showcased with 2-4 performances per year including: Halloween Recital, Christmas Recital, Solo instrumental Recital and Graduation Recital. Students have the opportunity to take participation in various violin and piano competitions. Lessons are in-person or online. ♫
♫ The South Loop Strings are also a group of more advanced students (violin, cello, viola or piano) practicing, playing together, and preparing for a concert at the end of the school year, or to be hired for different occasions and events (like weddings, or other ceremonies). Currently, we're preparing a long list of repertoire for Christmas, and Hanukkah and Ms. Emilia's 30th Anniversary Concert in December 2023.
The classes and rehearsals are held on Thursday night, right after the chamber class, on Saturday morning, or some Sundays, if necessary.
